Trinity Double-Thick Potholders Crochet Pattern
One pattern gives you four double-thick potholder designs, including three construction methods and a bonus variation.
If you’ve admired the beautiful texture of trinity stitch and wondered where to begin, this crochet pattern offers a welcoming place to start. As you crochet a collection of classic double-thick potholders, you’ll learn this timeless stitch and gradually build your confidence while creating something you’ll reach for every day.
From just three balls of yarn, you’ll be able to make four coordinating potholders that bring lasting beauty and everyday function to your kitchen. Perfect for refreshing your own home or filling a housewarming gift basket with something both beautiful and practical, these potholders celebrate the satisfaction of making items meant to be used and appreciated for years to come. The dense, durable, and richly textured fabric created by trinity stitch makes it an especially natural choice for hard-working kitchen essentials.
This premium 8-page crochet pattern includes everything you need to crochet with confidence, including detailed written instructions, reference photos, helpful video tutorials, and a comprehensive Trinity Stitch Basics reference guide.
HOW THESE POTHOLDERS ARE MADE
Method 1: Classic Potholder is worked flat in rows before the front and back are joined together.
Method 2: Ring-Start Potholder introduces trinity stitch in turned rounds, allowing both sides of the potholder to be worked at the same time.
Method 3: Folded Potholder explores a clever folded construction.
Instructions for optional hanging loops are included for each method. An optional three-color variation is also included for the Classic Potholder.
Pattern is written in US crochet terms.
