Ribbon Lace Cowl Crochet Pattern
This simple but stunning cowl can be completed in a weekend with just one cake of yarn, making it a great project for gifts. Its modern simplicity will complement a wide range of personal styles. Make one for yourself and one for someone special!
Wear this elegant yet cozy cowl in a long single loop or wrapped double around the neck.
HOW THIS COWL IS MADE
The Moebius twist makes this design possible. A 180-degree twist is added to the foundation chain before the two ends are joined. This creates a continuous loop — each round will take you around the top and the bottom (essentially working two rounds in one!). Be sure to check out the video tutorial (link and QR code provided in pattern) to see how the setup round is worked.
When this technique is used with a gradient yarn with long color changes, the colors are mirrored on both sides. Another advantage of working both sides in each round is that you can easily modify the cowl’s width.
